EatonDoolittle Posted September 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2017 I just heard back from owner Diane - she is US based this time of the year. Trevor is her crusty Captain that everyone remembers, if you have ever had the pleasure of sailing with them. The asterisks in the donation page are ********. Not soliciting, just passing on info. Reminder of what is lost. RandomWind.com +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Thanks so much Laurie. So many of my friends are homeless. The devastation is complete. With Jose pending they are truly frightened. I am raising funds and sending supplies. I will fly down if the airport opens on Thursday. It is unimaginable. I have not heard from Trevor. I heard from others he is sleeping on a pool table. The boat has not been found. I will attach the donation link if you could pass it on. I understand you have your own worries. God Bless through the storm. Diane https://www.********.com/st-maarten-hurricane-relief
EatonDoolittle Posted September 9, 2017 Author #2 Share Posted September 9, 2017 OK, the CC web site won't post the link - that's fine, I don't want to break any rules here. But if you are interested, you can probably figure it out, or keep an eye on the Random Wind website, she may post there. The inconvenience we will see here in Florida pales in comparison to what happened in St Maarten.
Nebr.cruiser Posted September 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 9, 2017 So sorry to hear this. We had a wonderful day on the Random Wind last December. I hope she is found. Prayers for all suffering the devastation of this storm. I am glad you are both safe.
