Dream - Steakhouse and Chef's Table?

I would like to do both the Chef's Table and the Steakhouse on my upcoming cruise. I received an email that we are confirmed for Chef's Table, but it doesn't indicate which day. Because of this, I have no idea what day I should make Steakhouse reservations for. Is it hard to get Steakhouse reservations once we're already on the ship and have confirmation of what day we'll be at the Chef's Table? Or is it better for me to make reservations at the Steakhouse now for 2 separate nights and then cancel one once we know when we'll be at Chef's Table and know for sure when we can visit the Steakhouse?

You can wait until you are on the ship and be perfectly fine especially with a small group. I suggest booking steakhouse for the 1st night to get the additional perk - free wine or 50% off. Chef’s Table isn’t usually offered on the first night.

Hi! I'm sailing on the Dream in December. I'm dining in the steakhouse two nights (one is the first and second the 3rd) I'm also confirmed for the Chef table. I figured if it's on the same day as my second steakhouse dinner they will let me change

Once on board, you can go to the steakhouse and they can tell you what night you are having the Chef's Table. I'd suggest making steakhouse reservations online as I wonder if (like the Maqic) the steakhouse is quite small. On a B2B we never could get a table, but the first week was a casino cruise and the second was Wheel of Fortune tourney. Participants were comped dinner reservations we were told when we asked why there wasn't one night available in two weeks

Thanks so much for all the feedback! I think I'll go ahead and reserve at the steakhouse for the first night and another night and cancel or shift one of the reservations if I get notification that it is the same night as the Chef's Table. Yay! :)

How long does it take to see if you get your requested reservation? For both, I received a generic "you will be notified by email once your reservation is finalized" notice.

Sounds like your'e talking about the Chef's Table. The Steakhouse is a confirmed night and time. We received a response within 2 days for the Steakhouse. We go twice a week as well, but pass on the wine, since we have Cheers. The free wine is crap, unless you don't care. We once ordered a very nice bottle of Cabernet for 50% off
