Amsterdam taxi tippiing?

We will be staying in Amsterdam a couple of nights after a TA. It is my understanding that tips are not expected for taxi drivers. Is this correct? I know there are much less expensive options, but we are older and don't want to drag luggage around to train stations.

No tips needed, just round up if appropriate.
