Photos, advice--small cabana -- great stirrup cay

I am thinking about booking a cabana for our cruise on the GEM

Does anyone have photos or location advice for choosing one?

If you are getting a small cabana try not to get the last one furthest out. It is right next to a construction area and not knowing your sail date it might still be going on. Better safe than sorry.

I've never been able to pick the small cabana location. It's just been assigned to us on the tickets delivered to our room.

If there is a way to choose, please lmk.

The only way I know is to book as soon as they become available. I checked everyday and booked immediately. I received one of the furthest away from the construction as I was told they assign them in order as people book. Sorry I should have been more specific. And this was what I was told on the phone when I booked but it might have changed or I was given wrong information but it turned out by accident to be correct in my case anyway.

I prefer the location and views of the small cabanas. You may be able to request a specific cabana once on board but there is no way to request one when booking.
