OBC for stock holders exceptions

Can't get shareholder OBC on interline rates. Was initially denied when we booked a special $25/pp w/$25ppOBC platinum/diamond fare.

It does not work on the free cabin when you only pay taxes and port fees on the casino bounceback offers unless you pay extra to upgrade. Been denied every time.

We are sailing on a Bounce Back offer on 7/23, we did not upgrade our cabin, and I got an e-mail that my request for our share holder OBC had been approved.

Unless things have changed, I sailed on an interline rate in March 2015 and we got the share holder OBC for that sailing.

I'm not sure if I'm just lucky, but I have never been denied the OBC. I usually email the request and a copy of my statement to guest services.

Just to show that carnival is so inconsistent ... I have never been denied stockholder obc until recently. I have received it for all types of cruise rates ---ES, past guest, military with my dad, premier and bounce back when upgrading from free interior to ov... I received a bounce back and booked for July 18th and upgraded from interior to ov again .. I was denied, I responded to the email saying that I upgraded without receiving a response ... So my pvp sent a follow up request and received a response saying the obc on previous BB was in error and would not happen again. In the meantime, I spoke to several people who had just gotten obc on BB offers and again emailed carnival and stated that others received obc and again, received a response saying that they should not have received obc and that I would not receive obc. I heard that in order to receive obc, the upgrade (or amount paid) must be => taxes/port fees ... Not sure if that's true or not ... Anyway, just ticks me off that carnival is so inconsistent ... Rant over

Can the OBC benefit be used on other discounted cruises, such as a casino offer?

I can confirm the Shareholder OBC can be added to your account when you are on a casino offer cruise.

I have always gotten it on a casino offers, casino premieres but never on a casino bouncebacks or free cruises won from the casino.
