Antarctica Photos

I am a novice with a camera and will be on EXPLORER ll IN jan 08 with the bright sun and white landscape what shutter speed and f stop can anyone help with i will be using ASA 400 im fealing my auto exposure might not be right due to the conditions am i wrong

ASA 100 or 200; cannot help with f stops and such, but I know I added exposure (counter intuitive) in some cases and bracketed my photos (1/3 stop). If you search a website like pbase for Antarctica photos you can look at EXIF information attached to photos and see if that helps.
