Does the old ‘upgrade’ number/ department still work???

fellow cruisers,

The family and I don’t sail until next may on the dawn in a family suite...I realize the upgrade system has been changed to the bidding system... but has anyone had any luck with the old system of calling the upgrade phone number and simply asking/ offering a lil more money for a room upgrade...?

No. It is no longer available for upgrade calls. The department handles the bidding system, which, if invited, you can use to place a bid.

Thanks.... so you have to place an electronic bid through an email I assume... I’d prefer actually calling a real person if offered a chance to upgrade... I guess it’s the ‘salesman’ in me that prefers to get a good ‘read’ on the person I’m negotiating with

Yes the number still works. They are there to answer your questions on the bidding process.
