Entertainment on Marina

Hi. We are sailing on Marina in October (Lisbon to Barcelona). I honestly don't remember the entertainment the last time i was on Marina (2011). Last year we really enjoyed the Lincoln Center group (string quartet +piano) on Holland - American. Is there any classical music entertainment on the Marina?

There is a string quartet that plays many evenings in the lounge outside the casino bar. They don't attract much of a crowd. I thought they were all right, but I was not attracted enough to linger. One jokester compared them to the orchestra on the Titanic playing "Nearer My God to Thee."

Otherwise the entertainment is the usual cruise ship show of bits and pieces of pop songs strung together in a cruise ship show. Performed by very talented young people in search of better material. One night one of the best of the troupe gave a very good one-man performance in the observation bar. Now that was good!

Some of the quartets are better than others - the better ones seem to have been in the past.

The food will be good. The entertainment will not be. If your main concern is the quality of entertainment look elsewhere
