St John

My cruise has changed from St Maarten to St Thomas which I'm very about. I have been before and went over to St John to buy a Hook Bracelet for the St John Bracelet Company.

I'd like to go over again but I don't see anything about St John. Is it open for business or are they still struggling?

Is your ship offering excursions from St. Thomas that go to St. John?

If so, seems some things will be open.

They are mostly closed for now. Lots of damage.

It’s a shame, I hope they get back up and running soon.

St' Johns is diffently closed for the near future . The whole island is a mess. Take a look on "You Tube" and you will see.

Our mid-January 2018 on Princess for St. Thomas has several shore excursions to St. John listed to be booked.

Guess we'll see how that works out. :confused:

On STJ I see the Caneel Bay Resort is closed through 2018; the Westin in Cruz Bay is closed until further notice, and many other properties are without power and water as well as having sustained major damage. The water at the popular beaches tested ok based on sampling Oct 27.

On STT many hotels and condo properties are still without power and are closed to stay over guests until the extent of the damage can be assessed. Those that are structurally safe are housing FEMA and other workers. The water at all popular STT beaches tested ok, however ant run off from storms make any of the water questionable due to the massive damage throughout the island...

So for day visitors there will be options on STT and possibly STJ. Sapphire was spared except for the foliage of course...

Tortola and Jost fared worse I’m afraid...
