Royal IQ ..... How's it working?

We're on Harmony in a couple of weeks, and the whole crew has the app downloaded. Now wondering if we're going to use it.

Is it working well, and is it worth the small one time charge ?

Any truth to the suggestion that you can Apple iMessage without signing up?

Any additional suggestions ?

The only charge is for the texting option which if you have iPhones you don't really need as texts get through without any VOOM package.

Agreed. We were on Anthem last week. iMessages went through; no need to pay for the app's communications package.

We are on Harmony in April and I'm really relieved to hear this! I didn't want to pay for the package just so the kids can text and let us know where they are, or coordinating with another cabin in our party. I was hoping for a reduced-tech week!

Also worked for us with iMessage on Apple iPads with the Royal IQ app without an internet package on our four previous Anthem cruises.

Just a reminder - this only works with iPhones w/ iMessage - does not work w/ Android or other phones.
