Playa Mia Resort in Cozumel

We have done so many excursions in Cozumel and decided this past trip, Jul 5, 2018 to try Playa Mia. DW is not a "great" beach person and I am a very inexperienced snorkeler and having been to all the other resorts and Paradise Island, we decided to give Playa Mia a try. The beach is clean but crowded; water clear but very, very rocky; wait staff pretty good and drinks were good. Food (buffet which was included) was terrible! Unlike the other resorts, most of the food was American food; spaghetti, chicken nuggets, salad, ribs. There was some salsa and chips and some fish that was pasted off as "Mexican". No tacos, nachos, tamales, enchiladas etc. Very disappointing. This was not worth the cost and we would recommend any of the other resorts.

Did the excursion include transportation from the port?

Thanks-

If you book this through the cruise line the transport will be included.

You can book this on your own and use their transport or jump into a taxi (about $17 each way for up to 4 passengers in the cab). Check the Playa Mia web site for details on various packages.

Thanks for your review. Sorry you were disappointed with the buffet. Many people have recommended going with the PAYG food and drink option and I think that is what we will try. The menu seems to include all the usual TexMex offerings.
