Norwegian Escape/regal princess Smoking Areas

Hey all! All the info im finding is old and the person I contacted at norwegian wasnt sure specific areas you could smoke in except the cigar bar and some areas on deck 6.

I am traveling with a group of people and a few of them do smoke and I had narrowed it down between this ship and the Regal Princess. The last time I cruised was 4 years ago (I know a travesty) and I smoked then and princess was ok with smoking in the balconies and a few of the bars but I see that many of the cruise lines have changed their policies.

I just want to know are there BARS on either ship that have smoking areas? I know you can in the casino if you order a drink or play slots. I see that Spice H20 on escape had a few tables on the starboard side for smoking but It looks like that is old information. Has anyone been on it and can confirm that there is a smoking area there? I just wondered which would be a better option for those in the party that do smoke. Really just wanted to know specific areas.

Thanks in advance! :D

At least 2 outdoor bars have smoking. One in Spice H2O and the bar that looks down over the main pool.

No smoking on decks or other indoor areas except the cigar lounge (think airport fishbowl smoking rooms) and casino area

  • 2 weeks later...

Just got off last week and am a smoker.

Here's where you could smoke that we could find:

1.) Spice H20 along the side of the bar.

2.) Top deck of pool area near bar.

3.) cigar lounge. Absolute joke! disgusting tiny room. This was the only place to smoke for a few hours when we first got on the ship. No ventilation at all.

4.) in large parts of the casino if playing.

I might get some flack for this but I don't care loll. I did smoke on my balcony (my travel agent told me too!). Only while at sea and was windy or late at night. I also was surrounded by others in our group on both sides. Kept door closed and always after each use washed out my portable ashtray I left in cabinet in room. No issues. Guy next to me in my party did get a letter from his steward 5 days in because the dodo left his ashtray on the balcony. Just a friendly reminder not to.

It isn't surprising that you wouldn't care about getting some flack on a forum:rolleyes:

You don't care about your own health, the health of those around you, nor do you care about the rules of the ship on which you are a guest.

At least the OP is asking where it is permitted. Stating that you did it where it isn't permitted doesn't help.

The casino is not a smoking lounge. It is for active players only. People are very eager to complain about you and have security removed from the casino.

Don't smoke in your room or balcony. People are very eager to turn you in to security nowdays.
