barante Posted February 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2018 Carnival, which I like, has a reputation as a party line. Look at this stuff happening in Australia https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/dr-gridlock/wp/2018/02/17/a-10-day-carnival-cruise-in-the-south-pacific-descended-into-violent-anarchy/?utm_term=.f3837dbedb10

Shmoo here Posted February 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2018 Carnival, which I like, has a reputation as a party line. Look at this stuff happening in Australia https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/dr-gridlock/wp/2018/02/17/a-10-day-carnival-cruise-in-the-south-pacific-descended-into-violent-anarchy/?utm_term=.f3837dbedb10 Unfortunately, that sort of thing can happen anywhere. Not just on cruise ships (or, even, Carnival ships). Carnival's reputation as a party line has a small bit of truth to it. But it mainly refers to those short, week end cruises. You'll find (well, if you ever cruise Carnival) that the longer cruises don't have that. That said, we did a Carnival 4 night cruise and it was about the most laid back cruise I've been on to date. SadieN Posted February 18, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2018 Only fight I’ve ever seen onboard has been in a laundry room on a HAL ship in Alaska. Reading more about that Carnival group, they were causing havoc from the time they boarded. Probably just skirting the fine line.
