sassy73 Posted June 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 18, 2009 Hi guys: I have been getting into sushi lately. Delecteable, but not totally bad for you. A little soy, wasabi, mmmmmmmmmm. (not a ginger on sushi person..:) Does Holland America have sushi, and if it does how good is it? Also, how good is the seafood in general? Going to Alaska, and so definitely want to try some salmon, and other seafood but don''t know whether to do that in port or on the ship (where it is prepaid!) Addmittely this isn't the most pressing question on earth, but was curious.
ECV Posted June 19, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2009 The Eurodam has the Tamarind restaurant. This place is reason enough to sail the Eurodam, FANTASTIC! Sushi and sashimi you will love it we did.:D
hcrane Posted June 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 19, 2009 Did the 17 day repositioning on the Zuiderdam from Venice to Ft Lauderdale Oct 2008 - there was sushi every day in the Lido - only complaint (other than the Code Red for the voyage) was the wasabi was too thin! Sushi was just okay, the salmon in the dining room was really good (several times).

Rare Crew News Posted December 29, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 29, 2017 Sushi has been available for lunch at the Asian Station in the Lido Market on every cruise that I remember.
MisterBill99 Posted February 15, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 15, 2018 On our Eurodam cruise last March, I found rare seared tuna at the salad bar every day. I got a plate of it, then went over to the sushi station for some wasabi and soy sauce. It was better than what they were serving and made a great lunch.
