G&T Cruisers Posted December 6, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2017 When we booked this cruise in May 2017 we requested a table for 2 early seating and we were put on a wait list well now the cruise is fast approaching and we are still on the list,we are not crazy about sharing a table and we really like having the same wait team every night.I have called ship services but to no avail, this is only our second time on Hal and we have never had to wait this long before.
taxmantoo Posted December 6, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2017 You should be able to get your desired time and table after boarding. They will have a table set up somewhere on the ship (sometimes Lido, sometimes Pinnacle, sometimes Explorer's Lounge) for people wishing to change their assigned dining times. If you cannot find it, just head for the Main Dining Room on Deck 2 and talk to whomever is at the front desk.

One of those was on the Nieuw Amsterdam in January 2017. We always asked for a table for 2 and we always got one. Rarely have we waited more than a few minutes, and we tend to eat early as well. We're returning to the NA this January and we intend to do the same.
Krazy Kruizers Posted December 6, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 6, 2017 When you made final payment, your TA should have completed the final arrangements for your requested time (early seating) and a table for 2. When you TA sent back that you were fully paid, did he/she not indicate anything about your dinner request? Our TA has always done this.
catl331 Posted December 6, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 6, 2017 If you are not able to get a 2-top in Fixed seating, switch to Open seating and make reservations. Use THIS PDF DIAGRAM to make a list of the tables in the Lower Dining Room that would suffice. Call ext 88 or go to a podium near the Canaletto after boarding to go down the list until they find one open, and reserve it. Most ships allow you to reserve for three nights at a time, and then renew.
