Beach Day with Kids

Greetings, everyone. My family of 4 will be on an NCLWestern Caribbean itinerary in March, which includes Cozumel. We are hoping to find a safe beach with clean, clearwater and conditions that are safe to swim around in. We also would like aplace that is not excessively far from the ship. We don’t drink alcohol and mychildren are 7 and 5. We are not particularly interested in an all-inclusivedeal that includes alcohol, but we would not mind being able to order food a lacarte. Is it necessary to pay for an excursion to find what we are looking for? Please provide suggestions. Thank you! BTW I am posting this question for each port.

Taxi to Paradise Beach - fare will be posted on a board near the cab line but should be about $17 each way. Admission/chair rental at PB is $3 each - the place is large and offers a nice beach, HUGE pool, very clean facilities, and good food/drinks/service.

Mitsugirly is a frequent poster on these boards and has a photo intensive review of her family's day a Paradise Beach linked in her signature (they first stopped to snorkel at the Money Bar). Good luck with your planning and have a great cruise!

Second Paradise Beach. We had a wonderful time, and the food was good, the facilities were clean, and the pool was nice. They gave us a beach chair for each person, and there was an umbrella for shade for every two chairs. We did pay the extra $18 per person to have access to the inflatables, kayaks, and all the extras if your kids swim and are more adventurous. Mine are 9 & 11, so it was a must for us.

How does the paying work at paradise beach? Is it a tab that accumulates for the day or do you have to pay for each item purchased? Trying to decide between this and an all inclusive don’t want the hassle of paying for every little thing.

You pay your $3 pp lounger fee and then run a tab for food and drinks.
