Do they automatically add gratuities like they do on other cruise lines?

How much are they?

What I understand is they recommend $125/week per person that is paid to the hotel manager for distribution to the staff.

Our 10 nt cruise plus 1 nt hotel starting July 17, 2017 has prepaid gratuities of $200 per person. Kinda steep but then there is the included hour long happy hour each evening and wine and beer with lunch and dinner, so if you were paying a gratuity on all those drinks guess not so steep after all.

The current ACL 2017-2018 catalog, page 98, says "Guests are not expected to leave a gratuity on board."

We're all paid up for our October 2017 Grand Heartland Cruise, have received our detailed travel package, and nothing has been deducted for gratuities.

Was on ACL last week and asked about gratuities. Was told they were NOT expected and not allowed. Employees were not permitted to accept gratuities..
