TSS Alex Posted February 19, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2018 Currently booked on Symphony from Civitavecchia on Thursday, 14 June 18. The ship is scheduled to arrive at 0700. What do you think will be the earliest we will be able to board? As far as we can tell, this will be the first time Symphony will board passengers in Rome, so we won't have to wait for someone to vacate the stateroom. The following week, when we arrive back, what do you think is the latest we will be able to disembark? Our flight out of FCO (Norwegian direct to JFK) has been moved twice and is now scheduled for 1832. I'd really like to cut down hanging at the airport as much as possible. Again, as far as we can tell, Royal is NOT offering transfers to FCO post-cruise (or at least they are not showing in the Cruise Planner).
Clarea Posted February 19, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 19, 2018 ... The following week, when we arrive back, what do you think is the latest we will be able to disembark? ... . Check with Guest Services onboard. In Europe, Royal sometimes has a late departure program where you can stay onboard until sometime in the afternoon (no stateroom access) for an extra charge. Sometimes they will offer an excursion with a transfer to the airport included in the price.
cruzgryphon Posted February 20, 2018 #5 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Typically the post cruise transfers/ excursions with drop off at the airport don't show up on cruise planner and you have to call Royal or else check with excursion staff/ guest services when you board. Yes, it's always hit or miss. I just booked one in the cruise planner online, for Amsterdam.
