Azura Refit 2015

Canaries cruise is Sunday, they brought forward her arrival into Southampton either yesterday or the day before.

Takes about 36 hours to get to Southampton. So asking as she leaves by around midnight Friday she should be ok.

My friend works for P&O and here is a photo of here with Ventura in Hamburg Drydock 2013. You can see the props and rudder.

Not certain but I think there may be water starting to fill in the dock again. Will know in about 15 minutes if it is. Might just be reflections from the lights.

Definitely water going into the dock again, may still leave tonight.

Thanks for the update.

Well at 1.30 a.m. there seemed to be something happening as a tug came along, soon joined by another tug and they stopped outside Azura's dry dock. Then a third tug came down and seemed to be joining them and then the webcam decided to get stuck looking in the opposite direction. It's still working as the cars can be seen driving along but the camera stays looking the wrong way! :mad::( So it's bedtime now I suppose.

No. We're back again on air and there is quite a bit of activity going on now with 2 or 3 tugs lurking about. It's too dark to see much and the lights are pretty bright around the ship but hopefully something will happen soon.

Yes. She's finally edging her way out of the dock! About halfway now with just one tug behind her and a couple of others lurking around further out. Fantastic! :)

The ones further out removed the huge door to the dry dock.

Sailed out of sight now.

You would have needed to be up at about 2am to watch her. I woke up by coincidence and managed to catch it. Its quite suprising how quick it all happens.

I believe that of the P&O fleet only Britannia and Arcadia have pods. All the Grand class are traditional.
