Pride of America Shore Excursions

We are on the November 3rd sailing of Pride of America. We had been looking at shore excursions on the NCL website in our "My NCL" account, we have even saved some in our favorites. At some point in the last few days the excursions have gone dark and while the excursions we have saved in favorites still show there we cannot "click" on any of them to look at the details. Anyone have any idea why this is happening? We also have a one night pre-cruise hotel through NCL that was originally at the Marriott but NCL notified us that their pre-cruise hotel has been switched to the Hilton. This is no problem for us and they gave us a $50 on board credit that has already showed up on our profile. Just seems coincidental that the shore excursions went dark about the same time they notified us about the hotel change....

May have to do with the volcano activity and interruption of the shore excursions on the Big Island being

cancelled - yes I know you are sailing late in the year but the master menu of excursions maybe being revised

and this dark period you refer to is down while being updated.

As for the Hotel change - NCL may have needed more rooms than available at the Marriott. Common situation.

From the email they sent us it seems they are switching from the Marriott to the Hilton as the "main" hotel.

Perhaps hotel contract re-negotiating time.

The "Main" hotel will have a kiosk desk in the lobby for NCL assistance with the charter bus transfer service

to the pier and other details. If the transfer service is not provided or higher than $10 per person you can do

better with a taxi cab to the pier.

We are on October sailing and we got out hotel switched to the Aholiana hotel, not Hilton. No onboard credit either. Seems as though everyone else is at the Hilton, which is a great location, we stayed there a few years ago. Lots to do on the property and tons of places to eat too.
