cunnorl Posted September 4, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 4, 2018 We will be arriving in Bora Bora by cruise ship and will be there for 2 days. The 2nd day is a Sunday. Is there anything close to the port that will be open?
SinbadThePorter Posted September 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 5, 2018 We will be arriving in Bora Bora by cruise ship and will be there for 2 days. The 2nd day is a Sunday. Is there anything close to the port that will be open? The churches. Protestant and and Catholic. Seriously, island churches are very friendly places. You don't have to be a follower. Just be respectful, and you will get to see everyone in their Sunday best and to hear some wonderful singing.
Petoonya Posted September 7, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2018 Matira beach is about 5 miles away by taxi. Lovely Beach and Intercontinental Bora Bora across the street. I'm also going to be in Bora Bora on a Sunday and had no problem booking a day of snorkeling. If there's something you want to do that day everything should be operating. You should also be able to get a rental car to tour the island. But the whole town of Vaitape itself is as you say closed up.
