Here is a link to a great picture of the derailed train at the White Pass Summit. It is pretty lucky that one of those passenger cars did not roll into the lake. Thank God there were no causalties and that no one was seriously hurt!

Thanks for the photo. I was just there, so it seems to hit close to home with me. Thank God that didn't happen along the cliffs.

I was just there a week and a half ago. Yikes! Glad no one was seriously hurt. And I agree witrh previous poster, it's good it didn't happen near one of the really steep cliffs.

We did this tour on Tuesday, the day before. While it was memorable and scenic - my wife and I discussed later in the evening that it seemed a little dangerous. You travel through areas with enormous boulders perched on the mountain side of the train. It seemed like any of these could come tumbling down at any time. It is great that no one was seriously injured.

This was taken by me last Wednesday the 16th, scary!!

I wonder if passengers are still going to be allowed to stand up outside.
