LAX to Queen Mary

Hi,

Any ideas on transporting 4 adults and all their luggage from LAX to the Queen Mary? Maybe someone with a van that we could reserve ahead of time?

Thanks,

Burtie

I'd say try UberXL...except 1) LAX pickup is spotty and 2) Can't reserve ahead of time.

So, best bet might be to contact SuperShuttle...

One-Way LAX to the Queen Mary $85 for a "Non-Stop Van", $140 for an Execucar SUV Meet-n-Greet

...or PrimeTime Shuttle:

$78 for a Private Van, $111 (including gratuity) for a Private SUV...

How much luggage? Time of day? Have a need to go as cheap as possible?

If wanting the cheapest then could take the LAX Flyaway to Long Beach. Then hop onto the free Passport bus. Not good if taking a lot of luggage, just a carrying and a tote.

NOT good if flying in day of your cruise.

Thanks Keith, will do.

Now I just thought of something else--How about getting from the cruise terminal to LAX when we finish the cruise. How does that work when you don't know for sure what time you will get off the ship?

Thanks,

Burtie

Lots of taxis and shuttles available.

Taxis to the left as you exit the Dome. Shuttles located on the bottom floor of the parking garage.

Taxi is $68flat plus tip.

Or you can book with SuperShuttle pier to airport. They will have a manifest of all pre-booked and will check you off as your board one of their many vans that will be waiting. They'll know if things are getting behind schedule, so no worries, worked great for us multiple times. If you want a private van for your party that works well too, I've done it with SuperShuttle but not at San Pedro, ask them about that. m--

WE were four adults, each with a standard large suitcase and a carryon. We decided to give Uber a try. From LAX to the crowne Plaza in San Pedro we got a UberXL in about 7 minutes, it was a van. we arrived around 2:45, traffic on the 405 was really thick, took us almost an hour. The driver was polite, car was new, we could just sit back. The cost was $56 due to the extra time. We then used Uber again on disembark, as could be expected there was surge pricing in effect. We were one of the last groups off the ship.. it went really quickly! There were no Uber or UberXL available at that time, so we bumped up to a Uber SUV...the driver was there within 10 minutes, a new Suburban. We were headed to Disneyland. The ride was great, driver again very nice, car new. This was more expensive $160. On the morning we were leaving the Disney area we decided to give it a go again, we were headed to John Wayne Airport (SNA) this time. Got an UberXL in 3 minutes, again a new van, driver very helpful and polite. This ride was $32. So for 4 adults with luggage the total on our three legged trip was $248, much cheaper than renting a car and parking. Easier than a shuttle in my opinion, but it would have saved some $$ to use a pre-reserved Shuttle from the Port to Disney on disembark.
