cab fare from Port to FLL airport?

We are cruising with a group of 8 of us. One family is trying to get a pretty good idea of how much everything is going to cost. How much is the cab fare from the port back to FLL airport? Since we'll have 8, I assume we'll have to take 2 cabs. We're staying at the Embassy Suites pre-cruise and they have a shuttle but they won't take us back to the airport afterwards, will they? And...it probably wouldn't be worth it to call them anyway!

we are on the jewel on 11/14 sailing. we asked about the transfers that rccl offers at 20.00 a person. our ta said it was up to us but that you could grab a cab for probably 5 - 10 per person. also, if you book through rccl you have to buy the transfers before you sail and you may have to wait in a long line for the shuttle. hope that helps!!!

We were on the Coral Princess just this last Feb. and the cab fare with tip was around 13.00 this was for one cab. It also depends how busy the port is and how many ships are in. It can be a zoo so allow plenty of time and it might cost you a little bit more in cab fare.

Are you asking about the Port in FLL or the Port in Miami. Some people fly into the FLL for cruises out of Miami for cheaper air flights.

Take 2 cabs! Take 2 cabs! Don't take any of the shuttles or cruise transfers--they go on THEIR schedules, not yours! Four people in each cab will be less than a PP shuttle. (We learned the hard way...) Enjoy!

It would be from Port Everglades to FLL airport.

Tip of the day: There's a long line of people waiting for taxis and a long line of taxis coming in line to pick up people. At the entrance to the drive to the terminal, there will be someone kind of directing the taxis. Send one of your party up to him and slip him a twenty and ask for a van that will hold eight. You'll pay another twenty to get to the airport but it will be faster and cheaper than the shuttles.
