Airline check in online-options?

Recommended Posts

We'll be flying back from Barcelona to the US at the end of our cruise and are curious about online check in options for Europe. Our flight details say that seats will be assigned at check in (groan). Some long flights to be potentially stuck next to goodness knows who. I know the minimum online package on Voyager is $ 28 but that's way more time than we'll need, if we can even check in on line for seat assignments. We'll be flying Spanair and Scandanavian Air. Does anyone have any info? Thanks again CC'ers for all the help!

You don't need to purchase an internet package; the per-minute rate I believe is 55 cents. Also, if you are a Crown & Anchor member, you receive a coupon for some free internet minutes - that should be enough to take care of your boarding passes.

You can buy internet minute at 55 cents per minute with out buying a package. All you need to do is swipe you onboard card at the ship's computer if you don't have your own laptop and you will be automatically billed by the minute unless you choose to buy a package, which is also done on line. Once you are check in for your flights, you can also print out your boarding passes while online if you are using a ship's computer as they are connected to a printer. Just make sure the printer has paper in it . If not go to the purser's desk to request some be provided.

Personally, I don't bother printing the boarding pass...just do the check in. A couple of times the boarding pass just won't print due to a slow connection. Its never been a problem...you are still checked in and the agent at the airline desk prints off a boarding card in 5 seconds!
