Best Transfers from Fort Lauderdale to Miami

We did the Fort Lauderdale to Miami thing a few years back..although I can't remember the name, we called ahead and booked a larger van to accomodate the 5 of us (4 adult-1toddler) and were happy we did it. You can probably search online fo a good deal. We were surprised when the "van" we booked turned out to be a stretch Excursion SUV!!

We just got back from the Imagination today and we used SAS. They were great. Super cheap and very quick for picking us up in both directions.

How does SAS work if you fly in the day before?

Google Larry's Limo. With as many people as you have - it may actually be cheaper to hire a private car or limo than to do the transfers or a cab. The shared shuttle service will be cheaper but you may have several stops before your destination. We used them last summer and split the cost between two couples - our total cost with tip for the driver was around $110 per couple round trip. Our driver was waiting as soon as we stepped out of baggage claim and we had our own private limo to our hotel in Miami. The morning of debarkation he called my cell to let us know exactly when he'd be arriving. Great service and very nice to not hassle with bags, traffic, or a crowded bus.

I use the above when I need to travel to ports or airports. The last time I used them I dropped my purse in the back seat of the van and didn't notice until I checked in. The driver was just getting off work when I called frantic but he went back to the van and he brought me my purse with all my money and credit cards in his own car on his way home.

 

I highly recommend this company and they have great rates, always on time, and easy to schedule. :)

We are also using this company in January, they will be picking us up at our hotel as we are flying in the day before! Seemed real nice to deal with and very accommidating.
