Fort Lauderdale/port info

My apologies in advance if this is in the wrong section:

Is there anywhere on this site that I can find info on hotels and taxi/limo info for our arrival in Fort Lauderdale?

We're arriving early and while I'm able to book a hotel online and get a cab myself just thought I'd see if there was a section w/ info and recommendations.

Go to the "North American Homeports" site, and look under Florida departures..

I would recommend the Courtyard Ft. Lauderdale Airport and Cruise Port. They have a van that will pick you up at the airport and they will take you to the cruise port.

As Carolina girls stated, many of the hotels will have shuttle which will take you to our from the airport or port. Don't get stuck on a hotel because it does or does not have a shuttle. Taxis in FLL are abundant, cheap and quick to the port. They give more flexibiltiy as to when you want to go to the port that the shuttles don't always..

The shuttles to the pier provided by motels are mini-mob scenes with passengers jockeying for position - there often being a hundred or more all trying to be on the first van -- you will be on vacation, treat yourself, spring for a cab, the $15 or so makes it a bargain.
