What do you want to know about Carnival Dream?

Recommended Posts

So, in the process of digging up answers to your questions, I have to be sure not to forget my own :)

* Is the new steakhouse as good as the Supper Clubs of ships past?

Sadly, the Chef's Art Steakhouse is booked SOLID for this two night cruise so I won't be able to try it (darn!). However, a few of the CC members I met today at the meet and greet (which was SO fun) are going -- so I'm sure they'll share the news (and I'll relay whatever I hear).

* Will anyone use the corkscrew waterslide in November, in New York (especially if we DO get a nor'easter up this way?!)

Not on your life. In fact, it's closed off. They opened it today solely for godchild Hailee to do her "christening" ride. She went down twice and, after it was gated off, asked her mother if they could go in the pool instead! (Um, no honey...it's 49 degrees!) It DOES look like fun, though....

Nice shots, Mach! :D

It was so nice to finally meet you today!

Folks are still boarding and I'm using my phone as a modem so, while connect minutes are free, I thought I'd put up a few pictures...

Looking up from the rail on the Panorama Deck just forwar of the Ocean Plaza. Yep... the folks on the Upper Deck will probably have gawkers but from the Empress Deck up there really are no issues...

The Atrium is an execise in restraint. Hues of gold and copper blend gracefully in this soaring space...

Good morning.

Booked air, made final payment now it's hotel time. Coming in a day early just in case the weather causes problems. Anyone coming in early and booking a hotel? Any suggestions? Coming in to Miami and will probably rent a car so Fort Lauderdale is okay too.

Rene

Unless you are planning on spending time in South Florida don't fly into Miami. Orlando International, Daytona International and Melbourne airport are all about 1 hr from Port Canaveral. It will save you a lot of time driving and a lot less traffic by avoiding Miami and Ft Lauderdale airports, if you can.

On the questions I had asked, it may benefit you to do an interview with the HotMan aboard. As he is the number Two after the master of the Ship ..

He will be able to get things answered and as well rectified ASAP..

Your writing will have everyone on seat edges..waiting for more...

Hi Mach, Melissa, and other Dreamers,

I hope you enjoy every minute aboard the Dream. I have a few quick questions (only if you have the time to find out the answers).

-Are the pools bigger than those on the Triumph-class ships? Are they still saltwater?

-Is there or will there be a reggae band? Have they cutback with the 4 or 5 person band or with the hours... (this is one thing we LOVE about cruising)? Any major cutbacks or additions?

-Do you know if there is a waiter named Roberto DeJesus onboard? He was our best waiter from all of our cruises, and we are hoping to see him when we cruise on the dream.

Thanks so much, and have a great time!
