beach gramma Posted November 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2009 Does anyone know if the Dawn stays on eastern time when she does the Western Caribbean route? I found out tha GC is on central time so need to know re booking the Nativeway tour which leaves the pier at 8:15 central which would be 9:15 eastern and hopefully ship time>. I know the time listed for GC is 8am till 4pm so I am hoping we can make the tour. thanks in advance for any answers. You folks on CC have been very helpful to me. njhorseman Posted November 23, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2009 Most of the time, ships use local time when in port...BUT...not always. I have been on two cruises that did not switch to local time in one port. You have to pay close attention to the Freestyle Daily for information on time zone changes. I realize that doesn't help you plan your excursion, but that's the reality of the situation.
garycarla Posted November 23, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2009 No matter the time, the folks on shore seem to know when the ship will arrive better than anyone and plan accordingly. If the ship gets in late, they deal with it.
