HubbieO Posted December 19, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 19, 2009 Have never cruised X, but am thinking about a Panama Canal cruise on Constellation next year. Contemplating a balcony (maybe CC) cabin. Is there a 110V outlet near the head of the bed?
CelebrityMan Posted December 19, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 19, 2009 Hi, None that I've ever found.... :( Outlets are at a premium, so many resort to taking along a surge protector power strip. CM
cb at sea Posted December 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 19, 2009 The outlets are on or near the vanity...if you need something electric beside the bed, you'll need an extension cord. I've never needed an entire power strip!
HubbieO Posted December 19, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted December 19, 2009 CM and cb at sea, Thanks for the quick reply. How long an extension cord do you estimate I would need? Thanks.
bob278 Posted December 19, 2009 #5 Share Posted December 19, 2009 A 12-foot one should reach if you just use it once in a while and run it straight to the bedside table. But if you use it a lot and want to leave it in place and route it out of the way, you need more. I take 2 9-foot cords as I have a CPAP machine I use every night. I run them behind the beds and couch or whatever furniture is against the wall and then straight across to the outlet. We unplug it during the day and stuff it under the couch. 16 feet would probably be enough, but I haven't found anything between 12 and 25 feet.
