All inclusive beaches

Last year we went on the Valor and one of the ports we stopped at was Costa Maya. Off the boat we were able to go to an all inclusive beach where we stayed all day and drank for like $40 US. I was wondering if there is anything like this at Cabo, Mazatlan or Puerto Vallerta.

Apparently DReams is now 58 dollars per person,, so thats 108 for my child and me( she is 13, under 12 is 1/2 prices , rats) .. That seems like alot of money to me for lunch, sitting on a beach, and me maybe having one or two drinks..

Is the Krystal nice?? Seems to be alot cheaper.. is the beach not good??

We did not like the beach or food at Krystal, the pool was large and very nice through. We paid $25 PP and $15 for our son and it went towards food and drink credit, I thought the food and drink prices were a little on the high side, drinks were about 60 pesos and the buffet was 100 pesos.

Krystal did not provide towels at all so bring your own on the ship. Dreams provided everything, that said, we leave for our cruise Tomorrow and we are NOT going to to Dreams for the PV day. This trip we can't justify the expense for the day.

We are walking around the malecon and over to the river market then hitting Cafe Roma for lunch (best pizza in PV and $1 beer or tequila shot when you buy food) then walking over to Playa Los Acros for an afternoon at their hotel. $150 pesos gives you $110 pesos credit towards food and drink, 12-3 is their happy hour and they makes incredible margs two for 59 pesos.

They have two small pools and one small kids pool and they are located right on Los Muentes beach, very close to the pier right in the heart of the southside..

Hi Shakwurst,, I saw a thread on beaches in Mazatlan,, some nice person did a ton of research and posted lots of info.. looks like Stone Island is a safe bet for a nice beach day there.

  • 2 weeks later...

How does one make arrangements to go to one of these resorts for the day? We (2 adults, daughter 7 and son 4) are looking into this as a possibility for PV after we finish with the Dolphin Encounter at noon. Currently, we don't have anything planned from then until the ship leaves at 10pm. Thanks.

Which El Cid was it?

El Cid El Morro offers a day pass if you want it all inclusive with food. If not you can ask them for a day pass without food and buy your own. We did this, my husband left his ID with the front desk and we had use of the pool (which was great, kids enjoyed the water slides etc) and we ended up buying a few drinks and lunch a little later as the kids got hungry. The tacos were pretty good and the kids enjoyed their cheeseburgers.

MnAsMom, thanks for the info. We also want to go to ElCid. What is the price difference between just the day pass and the day pass AI? Not sure what the best deal for us would be. How did you get to the ElCid? And what was the cost? Is there anything around the Elcid like to do a little shopping?

Thanks again.

Might want to check out Crown Paradise at PV. It's an all-inclusive right next to the Marina Vallarta where you likely dock with nice adults only AND family pools (several of them). Decent food, chairs, towels, DRINKS, etc. If you don't leave til 10:00 - check out and make reservation early for dinner in one of their restaurants on site (also included) - Japanese, French, or Italian. Italian my personal favorite - clam chowder to die for and some of the best prepared Mahi-Mahi I've ever had.

Our group of 26 did the one day all inclusive pass last week in Mazatlan at the El moro and it was great. We couldn't be happier with the resort. They picked us up at the ship, transported us to the resort in a tour bus, escorted us to get our towels and then we enjoyed all the amenities for the day. All the employees were very friendly and helpful from the escorts to the bartenders. At a pre arranged time we met the escorts and they transported us back to the ship in a very happy state. The El moro and Castilla are at the same place and you have use of both. I highly recommend the ElCid to cruise passengers.

We booked an AI for Stone Island in Mazatlan for our upcoming MR trip. $35pp which included transportation to the island (including a 1 hour trip around the island to take in the sights - optional), lunch, open bar and 2 beach activities (banana boat, snorkle, horseback ride, etc). Also offered a complimentary tour of Mazatlan if you got off the ship early enough.

Where did you book this for $35?

Sounds like a pretty good deal. Who did you book this through?

We booked Stone Island (Mazatlan) with Johannes and Sandra for about $35, which included transportation to and from the ship. This also included all you can drink and a lunch as well as two activities. It was a fun day, but the ATVs run on the beach, so make sure you don't plop your towel down in their path. The banana boat ride is fun, but they make it tip over on purpose, so be prepared to get wet. The water is warm. The vendors approach you as you walk out of the lunch/bar area, but they don't bug you while you are sunbathing.
