Rum Runners

I don't know which is better BUT. . .

We put DH's Listerine bottle in our carryon because I didn't want our luggage to be held up because of it . I have heard too many stories about it on here.

Now it really was Listerine sealed and everything but it wasn't even checked when we went through security. I thought for sure they would have asked to see it. Now, it was a really busy boarding time, it could have been the person checking didn't care, etc. I guess there are all kind of variables.

I think I am going to put mine in my coat pockets. I carry on such a little amount. I just like to have a bit on my balcony with a coke. Like one drink before dinner, so 6 shots total. I wish they would sell those little airline bottles onboard for this purpose. I would pay $4-5 a piece. I just don't want to leave my room after my shower.

Do they have mini wine bottles in the mini-bar? That's another one I would love to pay for. I drink white and dh doesn't drink at all so buying a whole bottle and keeping it cold would be hard for one glass a night.

Read the thread "Naughty Room" and you'll think twice about those "little" airline bottles - poor woman. It is a fun read.

So, I returned a few weeks ago and the rum runners got through no prob. My husband put a small plastic bottle of Vodka in his suitcase (unbeknownst to me), also got through. AND, we took 3 12 packs of a mix of beer and Diet Pepsi, duct taped together (put in a suitcase) and that got through. We packed it all in checked bags in Seattle (redeye) and it went all the way to FLL then shuttled and onto the ship and to our rooms. Still had a $1,000 cruise bill but it was nice to have beer and pops in the room........

I have a quick question as this will my first time smuggling. There will only be two of us and I want to bring rum and vodka. From your experience, do you think it is easier to pack several smaller flasks or two larger flasks?

Thanks

On a side note, we used to buy our bottles onboard and brought them back to our cabin. Paid their $15 fee to do so. RCI took that away, as well as charging 3% to take out $ in the casino, which I always leave with them anyway. They see nothing wrong that, and I see nothing wrong with smuggling a little too.

Wonderful information! I was very happy for the coupon code too! Could anybody answer this:

How long does it generally take them to ship? I just ordered some and selected priority mail because I am leaving on a cruise next weekend, Will I get them in time? No biggie if I don't, it's a short trip anyway! I'll just save em for future trips.

We ordered them Sunday and got them in the mail yesterday. (From Pheonix to Atlanta) Just Regular mail.

Google shot pak. Rum, vodka, whiskey in single shot baggies. Mixed drinks as well. Impossible to detect with x-ray. We had about 30 of the single shot baggies in our check in luggage. No problems.

If you don't care about the quality of what you drink, then those will work.

I'm very peculiar to what I drink.

The vodka was about average or Smirnoff Red quality. While it's not Belvedere or Chopin quality, it was good enough.

The few rum baggies we had did not give me a chance to rate it. No Pussers or Myers but very much drinkable.

You might be peculiar but I am particular.;) I prefer something aged and smooth.
