Seattle BAGS PROGRAM??

Just back off of the Pearl and did the early walk off with our bags because of an early flight.

Going on the Pearl again in July to Alaska and I'm afraid we won't be able to hanlde our bags this time but need to get off early again. Do you have to claim your bags if you use the BAGS program or walk off and grab a taxi to airport and they handle your bags all the way home? Thanks for any info.

HOWEVER, they have to comply with a specific timeframe. IF you have a flight that is too early, then you can not use Bags.

Exactly!

If you are trying to catch an early flight, this most probably will not work.

As others have said make sure your airline is listed as a participant and your flight is within the timeframes required.

We did this off the Pearl in Seattle and it was super easy and worked very well for us. We set our bags out the night before so we only had our carry ons to worry about. We met up with all our bags as scheduled upon arrival in Orlando.

  • 4 weeks later...

We have a late afternoon flight after arriving on the Pearl in May and will have a little time to spend in Seattle before heading to the airport. Looking at our options for our bags which seem to be BAGS program or the pier Concierge.

If you do the BAGS program, who (how) do you pay the airline bag fee. The fee they charge doesn't seem to cover it. Is there anything that has to be pre-arranged (we did not book our flights through NCL).

Has anyone done the concierge (http://www.portseattle.org/seaport/cruise/concierge.shtml). At $3 a bag, this seems like a good option, the only downside I see is that we would be getting back to the cruise terminal to pick it up about the same time a new set of cruises is trying to board....

Regards

The airline bag fee is now charged with this program.

We used the concierge at the pier to store our bags so we could explore Seattle for several hours before we caught a train. It worked very well. The staff was very nice. It was very easy to do.
