patience32 Posted January 30, 2010 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2010 Hi, I am considering booking a RC brilliance Of the Seas cruise . But have a quiery about some of the D1 balconies at the very back of the ship . Deck 7-10 Can people look onto these balconies ? From the above cabins or from the passenger decks ? If so could anyone suggest a good cabin within this bracket ? Hope you can help
ChipLondon Posted January 30, 2010 #2 Share Posted January 30, 2010 Yes people can look down onto the rear part of the balcony, but no more intrusive than having a cabin on the side of the ship and someone next door. they are great cabins, go for it. cb at sea Posted January 30, 2010 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2010 If you're not at the rail, but stay closer to your door, then you can't be seen.
Theresa522 Posted January 30, 2010 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2010 I have a D1 on the Explorer and if the Brilliance has the same set up then you should for sure go for it!! The cabin is the same size of a mini-suite (not the bathroom though) and the balcony is awesome. Both with shade and sun. This is going to be our second time in this cabin. We love it :D

sweetcruiser106 Posted January 30, 2010 #6 Share Posted January 30, 2010 I was in a Deck 10 D1 cabin on the aft of Radiance (sister ship of Brilliance). You really can't see too much of the balconies below you. If you see anyone, it is because they are literally standing at the railing. The balconies are huge and the view is fabulous. If you can get one, go for it. You won't regret it. Anne:)
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted January 30, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 30, 2010 This is a view looking down from deck 10 (cabin 1104) on Jewel (sister ship). We've since booked 9256 on Radiance and can't wait (especially as for that date the aft cabins were reclassified as D2!!) :D
traveling1969 Posted January 30, 2010 #8 Share Posted January 30, 2010 We scooped the same cabin (9256) for our 04/23/10 cruise on the Radiance. From the diagram, the balcony looks HUGE! I posted a thread asking for Pics. It also appears that the cabin might be marginally bigger than midship D1's. Bon Voyage!
