caribbeansun Posted February 14, 2010 #1 Share Posted February 14, 2010 Can't say as I ever paid attention to the TV on board but with a couple of sea days to start our upcoming cruise I'd surely like to see the women's and men's gold medal hockey games (assuming Canada is playing in both :D ) - does anyone know if live TV is offered on board? I don't recall a big screen in any of the bars for such an event, didn't really pay attention to what is in Horizons. Anyone have info to share? Rare LHT28 Posted February 14, 2010 #2 Share Posted February 14, 2010 They have a large projection tv in the lounge, they show movies & CNN like on the cabin TV. I do not recall seeing live coverage of any events. We were on one cruise during super bowl & they were able to delay departure so people could watch the game at the bar ashore in Guatemala Guess it depends on where the ship is & satellite coverage Lyn
Rickey 88 Posted February 14, 2010 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2010 Your best bet would be to talk direct to Oceania. They could find out what satellite provider would be received by the ship and possibly what their programming would be. TV at sea is not the same as we're used to at home..... Nitemare Posted March 5, 2010 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2010 FWIW, they promise on Insignia that they'd "try" to get Olympics on the TVs, but that was the last we heard of it and it never happened
