Inspiration after April 2011?

Just got off the Inspiration last week and was looking to book again for August 2011. Her last cruise on her itinerary is April 28, 2011. Does anyone know what is going on with her or what port she is going to? Will there be a ship taking over the 4-5 day intinerary?

Pretty sure they just simply haven't released the dates for after that time yet. They have recently started announcing late '11-2012 cruises for some ships, so its just a matter of time??

They had dates for the Legend for a 5 day for December 2011.

Tenga 1899: You may be right for the 4-5 day cruises because I tried to bring up the Sensation itinerary and they ended with April 2011.

We were on the February 13 sailing and did the Behind the Fun Tour the last sea day. Our Tour leader indicated this ship was scheduled for major renovations ( dry dock ) in the next 12-18 months. Not positive, but this could explain your issue with making your reservation at that time.

Only a few schedules for that far off have been released. The rest will be out by April or May. Don't worry, if they do move her she will be replaced by another Fantasy Class ship just like her.

Inspiration's been in Tampa for a long time, so I wouldn't be shocked to see them move her. That's not necessarily going to happen, though, and she may still be there when they release the schedules.

 

If they do mover her, she'll certainly be replaced with another Fantasy-class vessel. Those are very popular sailings and Carnival gets a premium for them due to lack of competititon. I wish they'd put Victory or Triumph there, but alas they won't fit under the bridge.

The Carnival Inspiration will be moving to San Diego in December 2011. The last cruise from Tampa will be to San Diego through the Panama Canal. Sail from Tampa and fly home from SD.

I believe the Paradise will be replacing the Inspiration after she moves to the west coast....

The original post is more than a year old, but just to head off any confusion: the Inspiration is bound for LONG BEACH, not San Diego. She is swapping places with her sister ship the Paradise. :)
