DFD1 Posted March 9, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 9, 2010 Over on the Cunard forum is the amazing story of the camera lost overboard from the QM2, found by a fisherman and returned to the owners in South Africe.....all with the help of Cruise Critic and the BBC. Love Cruises Posted March 10, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 10, 2010 Thank you so much for posting this thread. I read it from start to finish and this is absolutely incredible. This is the main reason that I love CruiseCritic.com so much. No wonder it's the first thing I check out when I go online.
jtl513 Posted March 10, 2010 #7 Share Posted March 10, 2010 A fantastic story ... that only took 10 days from the first CC post to finding the owner. If it was a movie I'd have been saying "preposterous" half way through it!
ger_77 Posted March 10, 2010 #8 Share Posted March 10, 2010 What a wonderful and heart warming story. It just proves there still are "good" people out there, and the lengths they will go to in order to help others. It also shows what a great asset Cruise Critic was in this case, and that the media do drop in to see what's going on from time to time! Smooth Sailing! :):):)

Boytjie Posted March 10, 2010 #10 Share Posted March 10, 2010 I read the Cunard threads too and was intrigued by that thread and amazed at the final result: Cruise Critic helping the owner be reunited with the camera! And a fellow South African to boot. Gotta love Cruise critic. :)

mechcc Posted March 10, 2010 #12 Share Posted March 10, 2010 A truly heartwarming story. The impossible can be accomplished when people work together. Should be mandatory reading in any ethics course.
