Reservation for land excursions

Hi,

I will be sailing for 7 Night in the Western Caribbean Cruise On the Freedom Of The Seas, is it a good idea to reserve the land excursions with some months in advance or do you suggest to wait and reserve them in the ship? We are two adults and two children (8,4), we are also considering no to take any excursion and just be around.

any suggestions we be appreciated. Thanks

Kind of depends on what kind of excursion you are planning to do. Some tours, like 'city tours', 'shopping excursions', stuff like that you can probably just book on the ship. Things like horseback riding, scuba, snorkel, zip line, parasailing, you want to book in advance because they usually have limited spots available. If there is something that you really want to do, then go ahead and book it!!

I agree with "elcuchio24", if you really see something you want to do go ahead and pre-book. Some shore excursions will fill up fast and the vendor cannot add additional seats. If you wait to book when you board, you may find that the trip is full. If you pre-book, and you will have to pay when you book, and the trip is subsequently cancelled for some reason, the full amount you paid will be given back to you as an "On-Board-Credit" (OBC). The advantage to pre-booking is that you will not have to deal with the line of everyone else who waited to book when they board. It is a "cattle call"

You may also want to research your ports beforehand, too...guidebooks will give you info on ALL that each port has, and tell you how to get there, what it costs....beaches, shopping, points of interest...and then you can decide if you even need an excursion! So many things are easily done on your own and with 4 of you, it can save you a bundle!
