Which other ships may be docked?

someone asked this question every week or so. I have always wondered why it mattered?

It matters to some because it can be an indicator of how crowded the port will be when they are there. We were in Grand Cayman on one occasion when the number of ships in port resulted in the downtown area being so crowded that we turned around and took the next tender back to the ship. Some ports can more readily handle scores of passengers while some don't have the infrastructure needed to comfortably accommodate thousands of tourists at one time. It can also mean that, on some occasions, their ship will have to tender passengers instead of docking.

Some, like myself, are just interested to know what other ships we may see while we are in port.:)

I tried the links mentioned above, and can't find out any info about how many ships will be docked in St. Maarten on the day we will be there. Any suggestions?

thanks

Donna

I found cruisetimetables.com mentioned in another thread, and it had all of the info I needed. I found it to be much easier to use than the other sites mentioned

Check to see if St.Maarten's port authority has its own website. Many ports of call have such a site which contains a calendar showing which ships will be in port each day and, where necessary, which pier they will use.

Why someone went to the trouble of resurrecting such an old thread is difficult to comprehend, Might have:) as easily simply asked the question.

It should be noted that not every website which indicates which ships will be in port each day, is 100% accurate. We have frequently been in port with ships that were not shown on those sites lists.
