I have questions, you have answers.

Can you please help me? I will be on Carnival Ecstasy in September.

1. Are there perks for staying in penthouse suite on Carnival? I have been on

one previous trip in 2001.

2. When the boat docks at the ports, can you just walk to the beach and swim?

3. Does the King size bed in a grand suite separate so you don't have to sleep

in the same bed with suitemate? Is it 2 twin beds pushed together and there

is room to pull them apart?

4. How large are the swimming pools? And how deep?

5. Is motion sickness medication available for free to guests?

Thank you.

1. Ask this on the Carnival Board, actually, you should ask all these questions on Carnival's board.

2. Depends on the ports. Some ports are in an industrial area and not fit for swimming. In most Caribbean ports, you have to take a bus or taxi to the best beaches.

3. The king beds in the big suites are just king beds and not two twins.

4. What ship, specifically? Different ships have different size pools, but none are deep enough for diving, and most ship's pools are quite small.

5. Motion sickness pills are available at the Purser's Desk

OP states he is sailing Ecstasy. My deckplan shows all GS (Cat. 12 suites) having two twins that convert to king. Ship's pools are rather small and diving is prohibited, even if the pool was deep enough.

Suites get you VIP boarding, that's all.

Your pool will look like this, although this is the pool on Carnival Sensation:
