liberty of the seas

Recommended Posts

We just returned from the western Liberty of seas cruise. Truely amazing!!

We cruised princess prior and really loved it but this ship was nicer. Never felt it move but 1 night for a few hours. We checked in @1130am and it took maybe 30 mins from start to finish. We ate at the pizza shop until 1 when our rooms where open. The rooms dont open until 1pm so thats key to know. My husband recieved his luggage by 130pm (very lucky)- me on the other hand waited, and waited and reported it to quests service @6pm that their was a problem. This part of the trip was not good because no one wants to help- they say they have to 9pm to get bags out. well!! my stateroom guys said they looked, etc.. such crap... We walked the entire deck 8 and on the other side was my bag in a hallway!! UGH!! So, I found the bag @745 that first night- not happy but oh well. We went to the mystery dinner show and it was cute. Really fun time and meet nice people. After that we walked around the ship and unpacked my luggage.

Day 1: Sea- I am a sun worshiper- so finding a chair is huge for me. This ship has so many good chair spots. Never had a trouble finding chairs. So, I was very happy. Weather and service was great all day. We sat out to 4 and then wlaked around and saw a show that night. Shows on the ship are great. We did the casino thing too. We had my time dinning and never made a reservation and never waited. we liked that!! Lunch at sea days in winnjammers is crazy!! So we didnt go back after this day for lunch. Impossble to find chairs

Day 2- Labadee- Very nice place and very hot. We just shopped and walked around on the island. We went back to the ship and got greta pool side seats for the day. It was @100 it was HOT!! We ate at johnny rockets- very good (never ate there before) and did the rock wall and flow rider. Overall it was a nice day and saw the parade at night

Day 3- Ocho Rios- We booked sandals beach break- very nice we booked 11am to 430 and it was perfect. Nice and quiet and relaxing. all you can eat and drink and transporation was included. It was @95 that day too so it was hot!! We booked chops for dinner and it was AMAZING!!! Best place on the whole ship...

Day 4- G. Cayman- we shopped and walked 7 mile beach. LOL!! Seriously... My husband and I walked @4-5 miles of the beach. we wanted to see everything so we got dropped off at Sea grapes and walked to town. Such a pretty place and very quiet. The island was so quiet at the resort- no people but cruise people!! Sea grapes- didnt like at all. Then we stopped at royal palms and had lunch and drinks - liked it alot and walked back.. It wa shot too and the prettiest beaches I ever saw

Day 5- Cozmel- We did Nochi Cocum- very nice too. Quiet and relaxing. Drinks and food all day. Its @15 mins from the port but really nice. The weather was hot but windy so the water was rough. WE ate dinner at portofino and it was just ok compared to chopss!!! Saw a show and comic.

Day 6- Sea- Relaxed and enjoyed the ship. The ship is amazing!! you will never get bored!!

Yes, in Labadee you need water shoes...we were there 2 weeks ago and there were sea urchins everywhere!

Really? We have been three times and never seen one. Some parts of the beach are rocky, but I've never seen jellyfish or sea urchins!

OP- Glad you enjoyed the Liberty, she is by far our favorite ship. I dont think anything can beat or cruise on her last August.

nochi cocum was 45 or 50 a person - I forget. I booked it threw island marketing website. There was 3 ships in port when we arrived and we were the last ship that day to get in. So this place was perfect because they only let 100 people in all day. There was @9000 people on 3 ships and the city and town was packed!!!
