Hey experts,

 

Just a quick question about the Port of Livorno.

 

Can private tour companies like Rome in a Limo pick up directly at the ship in port or do we have to take the bus shuttles to the end of the port?

 

I have booked Rome in a Limo and just trying to get some clarification as to where the mini-van will be meeting us.

Right on the dock, holding a sign with your name on it. I would suggest meeting your group somewhere on the ship then leaving as a group. Enjoy!

How far is Florence from the port?

 

Also, are shops open if it is All Saints Day?

One of my big worries orginally, couldn't miss the mass of vans right as you get off the ship. Drop off and pickup right beside the ship! As another poster said, should have a card with your name, very easy to find.

Distance is about 75 miles figure 90-110 minutes by car depending a lot on traffic.

 

How far is Florence from the port?

 

Also, are shops open if it is All Saints Day?

We were there on All Saints Day in 2002. All the stores in the main shopping area (Via Tournaboni) were closed. The Market was open as well as some privately owned stores scattered about.

 

The city was very lively as people who were off from work were out and about.
