Winery tours - San Francisco area

Recommended Posts

I will be coming into San Francisco for basically 1 1/2 days. I want to do a winery tour on the full day (but would prefer a tour that does not eat up the entire day). Are the tours usually all 8 hrs long?

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

they are mostly all day cause to drive to Napa is 60-90 minutes. Sonoma is slightly closer. You might check out

supersightseeing in SF They use brand new buses and are pretty top notch. I'm sure your hotel concierge may know of some smaller companies or even a limo tour for a shorter time

If you are renting a car you could do the winery thing in a full day.

The tours themself are not that long you could take 1 or 2 tours and/or taste at a couple of wineries. You dont want to do too much tasting and then drive. The Carneros region of Napa/Sonoma has some great wineries and is not as far as the N end of the Napa Valley.

Otherwise, as davidgmg suggested, talk to your hotel concierge re tours.
