Carnival Fantasy Review & Pics/ June 5th, 2010 Sailing

Yes it is. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Half Moon Cay was my favorite. We didnt care too much for Grand Turk however after reading a review that someone is writing right now...it appears we did it wrong. We needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of right by the pier. There is a beach that this family went to that looks like paradise. I will have to go back to the review to find out what beach though....Its Pillory Beach. Beautiful.

Ok, I.T. has scanned in my images for me. Uploading to photobucket.

Well, I guess this means my review is complete now which makes me a bit sad. :( If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask. I was thinking that once I got off the cruise I probably wouldnt be back on these boards but apparently I am addicted. Seeing that ship at my own port on my way into work each week is probably what is fueling the fire of my addiction. So, my intention is to remain on the boards and will be checking to see if anyone has questions that I can answer. Ready, set.....GO!!! :D

Wow, you have become a posting genius in the course of this review.

Thanks again, you've been great!!

Thanks Jersey...although most of the credit for the Fun Times goes to our wonderful I.T. folks. Without them, they never would have gotten posted.

Great job:) I have forwarded your review to a friend who is taking his first cruise 09-18. If I had to look at the ship every week...don't know that I could help myself..I would have to book...just book something and pay on it monthly..like it's a bill or something:D Works great for us:)

Thanks Jane. I remember my excitement with my first cruise and I hope your friend enjoys the review.

We really want to book but since Andrew is still unemployed and his unemployment has run out we are really running paycheck to paycheck right now. Strapped. :( However, once tax season rolls around it usually is enough to pay for our cruise. Cant wait til January! YAY :D

I just found this thread and it's been GREAT going through and seeing all of the info. Thanks for posting all that you have.

I also noticed that you said something about January...my wife and I are sailing out of Charleston on January 1. It's her first cruise and she can't wait!

Okay, I tried and tried but I can't read the Fun Times. I zoomed but the words are still blurry. Anything else I can try?

Here is a link to my photobucket album. If you click on zoom on the upper left corner when you pull up a pic and choose high resolution it gets really really big but you can scroll around and are able to read it. All my other pics are on there as well if you get bored and want to see more pics. I couldnt fit all 600 on the review. :o

Hey, Nancy! After looking at what we're doing on our August 21 sailiing - catamaran and snorkeling in Nassau, Our Lucaya beach fun in Freeport and general wandering and frivolity in Key West - I realized "Holy cow! We're following the same plan as Nancy and The A!" Aside from not wearing jeans in threatening weather, what's your take on your time in ports? Any suggestions or "if I had to do it again..."?

I actually had to think about this for a moment because I really spent months planning the things I didnt want us to miss.

I think perhaps I would have enjoyed a more secluded beach in Freeport. Maybe gone to the left rather than to the right when you pass behind the casino. Definitely would have picked up the Bacardi from the liquor store that was a bit farther down. :p

Nassau was perfect. Wouldnt change a thing. Well, maybe if I could have found Kafe Kalik or at least found out if it was closed down.

Key West, I just wish we had more time. I would have gone to Sloppy Joes just to say that I went there. There was a clothing alternative bar there too (Adam and Eve I think)...perhaps we would have gone there if enough liquid courage had been imbibed. :D

I'm a planner. too. I have researched every excursion and vendor. You'd think I was planning a month-long trip! I will certainly pay a visit to the "correct" liquor store in Freeport! Thanks for the input. I have truly enjoyed your review!

(Maybe Andrew could look into opening one of those "alternative clothing" bars in Charleston. Think it would go over here? Maybe on Folly?)
