Glad to see this posting. Will be leaving in 2 days & a wakeup!!! First cruise on Sensation was May 1999, before refurbishing. Can't wait - usually go on week's cruise but went to WA this year in May instead - very high mountains in a very beautiful state!!! Two of us widows going now - very addicting. First time to Nassau, Queen Elizabeth was docked next to us with her battleship escort.

Question -- do they still have the crepe station at night on the Lido deck??

As to cruises good or bad - have been on many different cruises & many different lines -- they all have their memories -- life & travel is what we make of it. I "chose" to have a great time. Something my DH, sailor currently sailing in heaven has taught me.

ENJOY

what is the current parking fees at the port?

Parking Fees

$15/night for vehicles up to 20 feet in length

$26/night for vehicles over 20 feet

The total fee for the time the vehicle will be parked is due on entry. We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard and Traveler's Checks issued in U.S. dollars.

You may want to get there the night before and stay at a hotel near the port where they let you leave your car there for the week.

My DH and I were on the Sensation Nov '09. It was our first cruise and we became addicted. Stayed at the Best Western in Cocoa Beach. Kind of a Spring Break hotel, but it was right on the beach, walking distance to the Cocoa Beach Pier and to a tiki bar on the beach, and to a grocery store to buy wine and red bulls. We'd stay there again. Boarding was a breeze and since this was our first cruise, the ship was huge to us. The food was all good, i don't think we had anything that wasn't good. I especially LOVED the crab cakes. We didn't go to the dining room that night, but they had them at the Buffet and they were AWESOME! We didn't actually do any of the activities, never once went into any of the bars/clubs, didn't see any shows, didn't use the jacuzzi or the pools.....but we had the time of our lives! :) we ate, and drank, hung out by kareoke alot at night, ate in the dining room twice, gambled alittle and won like $80. The four days went by way too quick. The only thing we didn't like was the free liquor tasting one night. there were so many people and they were rude and would stand around the liquor table and not get out of the way for others to try. Next cruise we'll skip the free tasting and just buy a drink. Had fun in Freeport. Nassau had fun, but was REALLY scary at night and felt unsafe. We were harrassed on the public beach right outside of Atlantis to buy drugs....but i guess that could happen anywhere. But we did feel alittle unsafe. We actually went back onto the Atlantis property after that. Overall, we had a fantastic time and are planning our next cruise Nov '11.

Have been on the Sensation several times. It is a great ship. The upgrades are awesome. The staff is alsways very friendly. The food is always great. We have started a tradition of doing a short cruise in early January to unwind from the Holidays. The Sensations has had the best deals the past two years. Port Canaveral is a great port.

I have not seen the crepe station on lido at night. I will look for that in January.

****************************That is good for out of towners but we are a hop, skip & small jump from you. Takes longer in line for parking lot than to drive over. Parking has gone up - that is like over 2 tanks of gas for my toy--but the great thing--not waiting for anyone to pick us up.==Thanks Again for the information --1 day & a wake up until cruise!!!
