sunny days Posted July 24, 2010 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2010 Is it hard to get to any of Bermuda's lighthouses using public transportation? I'm particularly interested in Gibbs Hill Lighthouse. Does anyone know if there is a fee to climb it and if I can easily walk to it from a bus stop? Thanks for your help and recommendations regarding any of Bermuda's lighthouses. iheartbda Posted July 24, 2010 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2010 Yes, you can walk it from the bus stop but be aware, it is a bit of a walk and uphill but worth it in the end. $2.50 admission, 185 steps to the top.:D

But my memory may be wrong. Got off the bus at the bus stop by the Henry VIII restaurant. And it was a bit of an uphill walk, they picked a high location for the lighthouse for obvious reasons. The walk but not too bad for me but I am used to walking. It was worth the 185 steps to the top. Great views.

Rare Keith1010 Posted July 31, 2010 #6 Share Posted July 31, 2010 It's too bad there is now a fee. On our first visit to Bermuda there was no fee but that was over 30 years ago. Keith
