Mr. Luckytoo Posted October 17, 2010 #51 Share Posted October 17, 2010 I'm going to have to get me one of those potato sacks. Will they allow a generic one or does it need to be a designer label? Is burlap allowed on formal night or only smart casual? Amazing how some people can wear anything.... Burlap never looked so good!
Char Posted October 17, 2010 #52 Share Posted October 17, 2010 I guess we are old school, but we always dress "formal" for formal night. This is what we wore on Solstice Caribbean last month.
bchbms Posted October 17, 2010 #53 Share Posted October 17, 2010 We love formal nights. It's something we never get to do at home, and we love to roam about the ship and see people in their finer wear. Our daughter just got married in a castle in Italy and we took a 'leisurely' cruise home on the QM2 from Southamptom. Six days, three formal nights. We loved it!! I wore long gowns for the three formal nights, cocktail dresses for the two others and a 'casual' look (silk shirt, silk shawl and nice dress pants) for the other night. Never felt over or under dressed, but on the "Queen" things are a bit different. Still love to dress up on Celebrity though. Isn't that part of what cruising is all about??
BocaRoo Posted October 17, 2010 #54 Share Posted October 17, 2010 We, too, enjoy dressing formally: I usually wear something full length and Kevin wears a tux. Here we are on the Constellation... :) Jill
