There was a whole discussion on this yesterday - the ship in question was the Voyager, but they are identical in almost every regard.

Hump or aft cabins. Deck 7 and above. Second choice would be as close to the aft elevators as possible, but not deck 6.

A hump (or nearby) JS...great space...easy access! Love it! I prefer a location near the elevators and stairs rather than having to walk a marathon every time you come and go from your cabin!

The only time it is worth walking is if you have an aft cabin with a large balcony. IMO if you are forward on the Explorer, you will be walking a lot also.
