X-Ray Machines

Do you, yourself walk through an x-ray machine when boarding the ship or is it just your carry-on that goes through one. Been so long that I don't recall.

at every port I have embarked at, yes.

I've only experienced the carryon going through the x-ray machine, whereas I walked through a metal-detecting hoop (forgot the change in my pocket and had to go back through once :rolleyes:). I don't recall having to take off my shoes like the airport, however.

A metal detector is not the same as an x-ray.

Your carry on will go through x-ray, you will go through a metal detector.

Only carryon is thru x-ray, otherwise they would find my rum runners in my shorts.

I assumed that's what the OP meant. It's not a doctors office. I don't know anywhere where they X-Ray your body at security, except using certain prototype devices they are thinking of implementing at airports and going thru security at NSA......

RumRunners come in 32 oz and 8 oz sizes. I suspect that with cargo pants or shorts you could manage to get either through.

I have heard that works great. But because no one on CC would actually smuggle anything onboard I have no actual experience.;)

Yes, you are all correct, I meant a metal detector, not x-ray, my fault.
