dillonsmimi Posted December 1, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2010 Like most men, Dennis rarely needs new clothes. I went to 3 stores yesterday looking for a 31x34 pair of classic Dockers. Touched EVERY pair in EVERY store! No go. Came home and looked at their web site and get this...they don't even make that size any more! 29x30, 30x32 (smaller waisted men have to be "petite"?) would be way too short and I even showed him. Now I know their slim fit 32's would fit fine, but he won't even try a pair on! Guess he would "feel fat" in them, lolol!
klauer Posted December 1, 2010 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2010 Get the 32s and have them tailored, or try another brand. I am a women who is about 1/2" taller than petite, so every pair of regular pants that I buy has to be hemmed. If there were a big demand for 31/34 size pants, the manufacturers would be making them. JanineM Posted December 2, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2010 I don't think they make many of the odd waist sized pants anymore. I used to be able to buy 31, 33 or 35's for DH (depending on the current state of his waist!) and can't find them anymore. I used to be able to find ladies Dockers in long (my inseam is a bit longer than a 32) and those are impossible to find now, too. That said, I seem to find a really good selection of casual, inexpensive men's trousers at Kohl's. Maybe check their website to see if any of the other manufacturers make that size. alidor Posted December 2, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 2, 2010 I'm pretty sure you can still buy odd waist sizes for men at Lands End and probably Nordstrom.
klauer Posted December 2, 2010 #6 Share Posted December 2, 2010 Sorry, now that I see the original post I see that it was a comment rather than a question.

jean s Posted December 3, 2010 #9 Share Posted December 3, 2010 Try Eddie Bauer's website. I buy my dh lots of pants on this site and they are very similar to dockers. They have a really wide selection of sizes.
Azure Moon Posted December 6, 2010 #10 Share Posted December 6, 2010 Have you tried JC Penney? http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/XGN.aspx?SearchString=dockers&submit+search.x=8&submit+search.y=6&JSEnabled=false&mscssid=&cmResetCat=true&hdnOnGo=true The " Dockers Flat Front Signature Classic Fit Pants" list 31X34. Maybe worth taking a look to see if they'll work, or if another Docker style has that size. Kohls sometimes has different sizes, too. Good luck! I shop for my hubby, so I understand when the size you're looking for is scarce :(.
dillonsmimi Posted December 6, 2010 Author #11 Share Posted December 6, 2010 Ya'll "got" my title. Anyway, we took a brisk (500 dollar!) walk thru Macy's on Sat. Hubbie was shocked at how many different styles and colors there were (my point exactly, hubs) and how many "we", lolol ;) had to sift thru including the hanging racks. Did find a nice, soft cotton in an acceptable color. 32x34. I ordered him to the dressing room to at least try. Fit like a glove. Now he is walking with me after dinner, lolol! mimi
